Catchin' Up on the Wal-Mart Trips!!!

This post includes a couple of trips to Wal-Mart and a few pick-ups at Target. Sorry I haven't been keeping up lately - it's been busy!

I picked up a couple of bottles of Lysol Wipes for $2.48 (both) and I have a rebate to send in so actually they will be free! Woo-Hoo! I love free!







Del Monte green beans - I used an ad match on these - $.49 each plus a $2 off 10 cans coupon - love that deal! This is less than 1/2 price - awesome!

I picked up 2lb bags of pinto beans for $.99 - this is a great deal! Regular price is $2.28 each! Stockpile!

You all probably know of my LoVe of Haribo gummy bears...well I matched an ad for $.88 and used a $.30/1 coupon - what a sweet deal!!!

I did some more stockpiling as well. Rice-a-roni was on sale for $.75 (regular $1.24!!!) and I used a couple of my coupons (that I cut from other boxes) to get 4 free pasta roni's! Yippee!

I matched Fritos and Cheetos for $1.49 (regular $2.50) and DP 2-liters for $.79 (regular $1.25).

I also matched Cookie Crisp for $1.99 (regular $2.58) and used a coupon for $1/3 - my kids were so excited. They keep asking for this cereal and my answer has been No! LOL


Added to my TP stockpile - $4.88 - that's $1.59 off the regular wm price, plus I had a $.50 coupon!

I also matched shave cream - saved $.10 each and alcohol - saved $.44 each!

The febreeze warmers were free with my coupon - actually I made $.12!



Got quite a bit of produce! Lettuce was $.59 (regular $1.14) and 5 lb bags of taters were on for $.99 - that's a savings of $1.78!

I matched an ad for avocados for $.20 each (regular $.88)! I also matched white onions at 8lbs for $1 - regular $1.18 a pound! Cucumbers were 3 for $.99 - regular $.58 each!

I also got bananas for $.33 lb (regular $.56) and applies for $.88 (regular $1.57)!



Here is some coupon savings - picked up 3 packs of cascade and aquafresh for FREE with my $1/1 coupon (actually made $.03 on each one).

I used some $.50 off Dawn and $1/2 Bic Pens as well. I got some $.22 Oral B floss with coupons and save $2 on Expo Markers.

I saved $43.40 in coupons and a ton in ad match-ups!


Okay now on to last week - I did some shopping for us and I also picked up some items for Mom. Unfortunately she doesn't have a Super wm very close - she actually lives in a town with the worlds tiniest wm and just a few high priced grocery stores. So I am trying to help her stockpile some non-perishables.

They only eat Del Monte green beans so I matched at ad for $.59 and got them a dozen cans, plus 6 corn - that's a $.39 savings per can! (Well that's the saving at my wal-mart - I think their store is more like $1.49 a can - so you can see the savings!!!)

Another Mom Stockpiling item - Dad loves Viva paper towels - so a sale is always a good thing! I matched an ad for $5.99 which saved $2.98 a pack!

Another favorite of Mom and Dad - Folgers Coffee - I matched an ad for $6.99 (saving $3.49 each!).
















I picked up Bengay for $.98 using a $5 off coupon.

I also matched a soda ad for $.75 and saved $.09 each.















Grabbed Daddy some more powerades using an ad match for $.59 - saved $.19 each!














Rice-a-roni was on for $.75 again so I grabbed 4 chicken for us and 5 beef for Mom - notice I got some more coupons for free pasta roni - love it!!!













I matched an ad for vinegar - $1.99 - saved $.39 on this one. Got one for Mom too!

C&H sugar was on sale for $1.99 plus I used a coupon for $.65/1 - what a deal!!!

Don't you love a yogurt deal! I matched an ad for $.50 - then I used a $1/10 coupon - so they were actually $.40 each! Yippee!







Daddy is gonna make some more asparagus/bacon wraps - Yum-O! I grabbed three bunches and saved $.99lb each with my ad match!

I also got more bananas at $.33lb (regular $.56lb).

I had a couple more Aquafresh coupons - free toothpaste plus $.03 each toward my cart!

Bandaids were an ad match for $1 each - awesome got Mom some of those too!

I also had two more Reach floss coupons - $2.50/2 and $1/1 so that means free floss plus $1.86 towards my cart! Love that deal!





Bug and Red love Crunchy Nut - I matched an ad for $2.49 (regular $2.98) and used a $1/2 coupon.

There is my free Pasta Roni!

Grabbed a Planters crunchy PB for $.99 (regular $1.98) and Fritos for $1.49 (regular $2.50).





I grabbed some Dove for Mom - $6 each - saved $.88 a pack.

There is Mom's band-aids - she got Safari one's - Fancy!!!

Grabbed some more Gala apples for $.88 a pound (regular $1.57).

I was out of kitchen trash bags - boo! But I found a coupon for Ruffles so I at least saved $.50 on them!

Surprisingly it made the nice smelling one cheaper than the regular white ones...fancy!!!

On our way home from the zoo last Thursday we stopped at Super Target in Mansfield.

I found 2 eggshell bed pads for $4.98! Woo-Hoo! I have been using an extra blanket as a pad on the boys bed - this is a great find! But it means I have to make the beds again, after I just changed their sheets the day before. LOL

I also grabbed a plastic shower curtain for $2.12 - I love these. The shower curtain in our bathroom is not fancy - usually just a liner, I tend to change them out often. So when I can find something pretty and cheap - well even better!

Okay well that was my savings from last week so - whew - I am caught up! LOL

Ad Match-up List for My Upcoming Wal-Mart Trip

Okay Couponers and Ad Matchers! LOL - Well the days of picking up the ads are over it does seem. The websites will have to do these days as some have again ruined it for all. But not to fear! I think it can be done and if you really feel that you need to take the ad in - you can print it from the website. So look to the future when I will have a compile list of stores/websites for you to visit.

For now though I am going to share my "finds" from this last weeks ads. I haven't gone through kroger, tom thumb and albertsons yet so I will share those later.

Fiesta has 2lb bags of store brand pinto beans for $.99 - I am going to see if wm carries a 2 lb bag to match too, I am pretty sure they do.

Fiesta also has VO5 shampoo and conditioner on sale for $.77.

Fiesta has the SB 50 ct ibuprofen on sale for $1.98 - I am going to check out this at wm and see if it saves any. Hubby wants me to start adding more "pharmaceutical" type items to my stockpiling goods.

La Michocana has bananas on sale this week for 3lbs for $.99 - love this deal! Yum!

El Rancho has Kleenex Cottonelle 12 dbl rolls for $4.98 - does anyone know if there are coupons out right now?

Produce at El Rancho - Avocados 5/$1 (sweet!); Cantaloupe $.78; White onions 8/$1 (WOW!) and cucumbers 3/$.99.

El Rancho also has Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts for $1lb and Boneless pork stew meat is $1.19 - I will check on this one - most of WM's pork is prepack from a brand like Tyson or Hormel - every now and then though I have seen pork in store packaging which they will match.

El Rancho has the 18 ct eggs for $.98 - yippee!

El Rancho also has Fabuloso 28oz cleaner fro $.99 - I think there may be a coupon for this size if I recall correctly - I will have to check!

El Rod's has Angel Soft 12 dbl or 24 reg. for $4.88 - I am going to check for coupons!

Minyards has 16 oz rubbing alcohol on for $.50 - I am not sure of the regular price at WM so I will check on this deal. They also have 2 count GUM toothbrushes for $1 and 300 count SB cotton swabs are on for $1.39 - again gonna check these out.

El Rio Grande has 5lbs of Russet potatoes for $.99 - a great deal! And Butterball Turkey Bacon 6 oz for $1 - my favorite for the asparagus wraps hubby is famous for! ;)

Save a lot has 3 lbs of Gala Apples for $2.49.

Malone's has Del Monte corn and green beans for $.50 a can - a great deal on the brand name and an $.18 savings off the WM brand! They also have iceburg lettuce for $.59.

Well that is my list this week. I will be shopping on Tuesday, so I hope to update the blog with actual purchases and info after that!

Wally World Shopping

Hey all - I just remembered that I forgot to post about my deals from last week! Oops! But I did post my list prior to shopping! I pretty much stuck to it. There were a few things I was unable to find, but for the most part I racked up the savings! Woo-Hoo!

This week I didn't shop much because I am trying to get us on an every-other-week schedule. But I noticed that Tom Thumb had 64 oz almond breeze on sale for $2.49 - a great deal by itself, but matched with a $.55 off coupon - well that makes it even better! So I ran by wal-mart to grab a couple of random items and some almond milk. I was disappointed to only find 2! But I did get those - I asked a dept. manager and he checked his little computer gun thingy and it said that's all they had in stock and he wasn't sure when they'd have more. I am a little worried that they are going to not carry it. Poo on that! They had a huge case of Silk and only one line of Almond Breeze so I fear that is the case. We switch between the two so it's not really a huge concern as far as brand, but I usually buy what I can match a coupon to an ad for so that is a concern. Oh well, I will keep looking!

This week is ad week, so I will try to post a pre-shopping trip list and get my shopping trip up quickly! ;) We'll see how that works out. LOL

Last Week at Wally World...The Saga of Savings Continues!

LOL - I just remembered that I haven't blogged my shopping trip from last week - Hello where is my head? I blame all the cooking...it's frying my brain! LOL

It was another week of savings at the Midlothian Wal-Mart...I am blessed and so thankful for the deals I got. It was another week of ad matching and only a few coupons.

I grabbed Eggs for $1.88 - oh I was glad to see this one as Wal-Mart went from $3.98 to $4.12 in the last week!

Tom Thumb had powerades on sale for $.49 again - love that deal!

And I matched an ad for Sour Cream - $1.49 (regular $1.58). Planning to make some stroganoff with this!

I matched an ad for notebook paper @ $.50 each (regular $.75). I am a pen to the paper kind gal so I love having notebook paper around. I also matched glue for $.33 and Pens for $.50 - plus I used a coupon on the pens - $1/2 so I got 6 packs for FREE! Woo-Hoo! Plus each pack has a Campbell point on it and my coupons had a thingy where we could get 25 extra Campbell's points...Jennifer Carr this are coming your way next week! Yippee!!!

I stocked up on meat! Oh yeah! I love meat deals!

Helps my budget later on when it's not so cheap! LOL - I picked up a whole chicken for $.59 a lb (regular $1.24) - love that! Gonna make stock and much more with this baby! I also got a roast with an ad match for $2.59 a lb (regular $3.98) - yeah!!! And it's a big one so I plan to get two meals out of this baby! I grabbed another tray of boneless skinless chicken breasts for $.98 a lb (regular $1.88). I have recipe for chicken pot pies I plan to try out with these! I also picked up chicken thighs for $.88 lb (regular $1.20). Ground beef was $1 a lb (regular $2.19) again so more burgers for the freezer!

I also did a lot in the produce dept - yeah! I got bananas for $.39 lb - (regular $.56!) I got another bag of mini carrots for $1 (regular $1.44) and a head of green leaf lettuce for $.59 - what a steal it's regularly $1.88!!! I picked up a bunch of asparagus for $1.88 (regular $2.78) - bacon wrapped asparagus here we come!!! YUM! I grabbed more pears for Red and I @ $79 lb (regular $.98 lb). Five pound bags of potatoes were $1 - not a bad deal since regular price is $3.47! I snagged two - more freezer potatoes coming up! I also picked up peaches ($.79 lb) and plums ($.77) to make more freezer jam....yummy! They were both a great deal - regular price is $1.25 lb! You know I think I figured it out...we are eating more veggies because I like them more because I get them for a better deal! LOL

The Nesquik deal just couldn't be beat - $1.50 for the BIG can! Yippee! Since it doesn't have milk in it this is great for Red's chocolate (almond) milk "coffee"! I grabbed four cans because it was just to good to pass up! Stock-Up!!!

Hubby called and reminded me we were out of chips - where did my stockpile go? LOL But I found a deal on Lay's for $2 - not bad I guess...I hate paying that much for snacks, but we love chips with our burgers and sandwiches. The Great Value brand is about $.02 cheaper and we like them, but they were all out. :( Although I did snag a bag of the Great Value ruffles - those are the best chips...better than the "real" ruffles!

Well that was my savings for the week...it's was a good week of deals and smiles from a sweet cashier...Thank You God for the blessings for my family!

Shopping trip at the Wal-Mart!

Well here's my goodies from last weekends shopping trip. As ya'll know it was tax-free weekend so I always take advantage of that $.08 savings and get underthings for everyone...No I didn't take a pic of our new underwear! LOL

But I did get a pic of my new tennys! My old ones were literally falling apart...it was quite sad. I had been waiting to grab a pair until back to school savings, so here they are! Are you excited for me? I ended up with black because all the white ones appeared smudged already and I figured if that was already the case, well I would do quite a number on them! LOL

I also picked up a few school supplies and now I see I forgot to get a pic of them. I got a crate for Red's workbox system stuff and hanging file folders. I also got a pack of 8 color dry erase markers for our "stick figuring through the bible" study this year.

I matched an ad for $.99 for french bread! More french toast sticks to come - yeah! What a deal too, I saved $.61 a loaf!!!

I ad matched ground beef for $1 a pound! I saved $5.38 each on these! Taco soup, sliders and sloppy joes are in the works!

Grabbed two more family packs of chicken breasts for $.99 a lb. This is a great deal and saved me $.89 a lb! I am working on freezer meals - chicken macaroni bake, chicken bacon subs, BBQ chicken sandwiches, popcorn chicken, chicken tortilla soup! Yum!!!

I matched an ad for T-bones - $3.99 lb - oh how happy my hubby is gonna be when I break these out! The savings are great too - $4.99 a lb!

Do you use chicken bouillon - oh I do! In just about everything - especially since I had to cut out the cow's milk! I grabbed these for $.98 with an ad match - that is a savings of $2 each! Woo-Hoo! I also matched salt for $.33 each - saved a penny! A penny saved is a penny earned, right!

Couldn't pass up the pears for $.79 a lb or the baby carrots for $.99!

Hubby's gonna have some cucumbers in his lunch this week! Ad match for 3 for $1! That saved me $.25 a cuc! Yeah!!!

Bananas were a terrific savings this week! $.29 a pound! Awesome! Red loves bananas! I am planning to make some more of those Fresh (From the Freezer) Muffins! Plus I saved $.29 a lb - half price!!!

Yum! Yum!!! Yum!!!!!!

Watermelons were a great deal at Sprouts for $1.88 so I matched the ad and grabbed 2! They are chilling in the fridge! Gonna cut them up and have some cool sweet watermelon! Yeah!

I have noticed a slowing trend in the sales over the past few weeks...I am not using as many coupons as I was before. But this could be partly because I am stocked up on many items? I have been matching a lot of produce ads though so that is making for some good canning days!

I picked up some chicken breasts with an ad match for $1 a pound which saved me $.88 a pound. Love it! I am planning to make some home made chicken nuggets with these! Yum!

Hubby has been loving the chips and salsa in his lunches so I matched an ad for $2.99 and got a couple of big bags of tortilla chis. I saved $.09 a bag on these!

Bananas were on sale 3 lbs for $1.00 - Red loves bananas so I was excited to make the ad match-up! I saved $.16 a pound! I need to get Kellie's muffin recipe and make some banana nut muffins for the freezer!

Produce, Produce, Produce - I love the sales! Strawberries were on sale for $1.15 a lb - yeah! I love strawberries and so does Red so we are going to enjoy these! I picked up leaf lettuce for $.88 - saved $1 with my ad! I also picked up a head of lettuce for $.79 - I saved $.35! I matched an ad for baby carrots - $.99 which saved me $.79. I also matched oranges 8 for $1 - regular price was $.48 each!!! I am planning to make some orange monkey bread!!! Pears were on sale for $.88 a pound - a good deal (regular price is $1.17 a pound!)

I matched an ad on sugar for $1 a bag! Always a great deal -saved $1.25 a bag!

Used a coupon and snagged Hubby a FREE yogurt for his lunch! Yipee!

I matched an ad for Hamburger Helper - $.99 a box which saved me $.51 each. Plus I used a coupon for $.80 off 4! So actually they are $.79 a box. The really cool part is that is was a swagbucks printable coupon so I will earn 10 swagbucks for using it! Woo-hoo!

Well that was the shopping this week...not real exciting I guess, but yummy I must say! LOL
