Walgreens, CVS & Wal-Mart Deals!

After church and the egg hunt on Sunday we got some lunch. I talked the Daddy and the boys
into letting me stop in at Walgreens to snag a few items. I know that if you wait to late in the week the deals are usually gone. They had a register reward deal going on that I didn't want to miss! I also had a couple of register rewards that were going to expire Monday and I certainly didn't want to lose those! :) I did separate transactions so that I could get multiple rewards! I got $2.99 on each stayfree - plus I used a $1 off coupon on each so money maker there!!!

Nature made vitamins are B1G1F and I had two $7 off one coupons that I earned on the website. So I got two bottles of Cholest off for $6! Awesome!!!! $3 a bottle is a lot better than $19.99!

After Walgreens I convinced them to stop at CVS as well...hehe!
I was really glad I stopped at CVS on Sunday! They had Dove Men's deodorant on sale for .99! A steal on it's own - well I just happened to have four $1 off coupons - so I got four for FREE!!! Oh Yeah! Well the funny thing is - someone had almost cleared the shelves! There was four left, so I grabbed them quick! I am not sure when they get their trucks in but I am thinking they need to stock more of their sale items! I also got Blink eye drops using a $1 coupon and got $7.99 extra bucks! Yeah!!! The Biore products were on sale for $7 and I had buy 1 strips get 1 cleanser free - and I got $5 in extra bucks for each four items I bought ($10 EB in all). Basically I paid $2.25 each! I also got M&M's using a B2G1F coupon along with the B2G1F sale that CVS has on this week so I got 15 bags for the price of 5! Yeah! Stashing these away for a rainy day!

Today my sweet hubby took the boys to the gym and I got to shop Wal-Mart kid free! Woo-Hoo! It doesn't happen often, but when it does oh boy oh boy I love it! Don't get me wrong I love my kiddos, but man it always takes longer when they are with me! I picked up some good deals and save $99.10 with my ads and coupons! Woo-Hoo! And I have to say that if you shop the Midlothian Wal-Mart - Monday morning is the day to go - it's quiet and look for a cashier named Rebecca - she is spectacular, sweet and coupon friendly!!! :)

Here are some of the good deals I got! I matched an ad for Pop Tarts and used a $1/3 coupon so I got a great deal! $1.75 - .33 = $1.42 each! I also matched an ad for BBQ sauce - it was .79 versus the $1.28 wal-mart price! And I had coupons for .50 off each bottle so I actually paid .29 each! Woo-Hoo! Summer BBQ!

Here you see my two FREE cheese sticks - that I actually made .07 cents each on! The cake mix was on sale for .88 with an ad match and I used a coupon for .75 cent off a mix and icing combo - so I got a good deal 1.75 for both items or .88 cents each! I was also very excited that I found a cake mix that didn't have milk in it. Yeah! The coffee was $1! Woo-Hoo! I matched an ad and used a $2/1 coupon! The dan-a-nino was .88 each. I matched an ad and used $1/1 coupons - score!

I also stocked up on veggies using a $1/2 coupon - Wal-Mart had a roll back so they are now only $1 - sweet deal - .50 a bag! I love Steamers!

I stocked us up on our favorite go to food - hot dogs! I matched an ad for .78 each and used my $1/2 coupons so I snagged them for .28 a package - can't beat that deal!

These are the 2 packs of Purex 3-n-1 sheets. I love these things, but am too cheap...ummmm frugel, to pay full price. But I got these - all 21 of them for FREE! Actually wal-mart paid me .03 each to take them out of the store...can't be that!

Oh my favorite condiment...Miracle Whip - ad match for $1.99 and a coupon for $1/2 - so $1.49 a jar! Can't beat that!!! Even better that all six jars had .50 cent coupon stuck to it!

Sprouts had a great apple sale this week - .88 a pound - I saved over $3.50 using the ad match! Yummy!

I even got Hubby a couple of cucumbers for .39 off the wal-mart price using an ad match! Can't beat that!

I matched an ad for Quaker bars - $1.99 plus I used a $1/2 coupon so I got them for $1.49 each! Love it!!!

I matched an ad for Imperial Sugar - $2 each and used a .50 coupon and got them for $1.50 a bag - got 6 at that price!

The flour was also an ad match. .99 a bag so I picked up four!

Have you ever tried a Chocolate Chip Eggo? Oh my goodness if you haven't- you don't know what you are missing!!! It's like a dessert or something - awesome, spectacular, wonderful! Okay back to my deal...lol...I matched an ad for $1.88 and then used a $2/3 coupon. I grabbed some French Toast Sticks for Bug - his fav and regular Eggos for Red - his fav!

Of course Wal-Mart has all of their Easter goodies on half price...so I snagged some goodies for our geocaching box as well as a 6 pack of plaster animals to paint for the art box.

A great shopping day at Walgreens & CVS

The boys and I stopped in to grab a few good deals at Walgreens and CVS this afternoon. It was a great shopping day and the dreary weather didn't discourage the cashiers or the manager on duty! Woo-Hoo! I have to say that if dreary weather is what puts them in good moods then hey - gray days come on! That is sad, but I am often disappointed with the non-friendly store personnel at the Wax. stores.

Our first stop was Walgreens. Walgreens has a great deal on Scotch Magic tape this week: (using an in-ad coupon) buy 1 @ 1.99 get two free - well I printed two $1/1 coupons so it was actually three for free! Plus I had a $1/3 coupon in my binder from a package of paper I bought years ago - so I got another 3 for .99 cents. I did this in three transactions. I also picked up Dawn for .74 cents. It's on sale for .99 cents and I used a .25 cent coupon. :) I even found a new scent - smells great! I also picked up a new headband for FREE! ($3 with a $3rr)

The always liners were on sale for 2/$6 with a $4 rr if you buy 2. Well I had some .50/1 coupons so I thought - what a great deal! Well I did my first transaction and the rr didn't print. Poo! The cashier was baffled and wondered if it's because I was using a coupon - so she called up the manager. The manager rang two boxes (without coupons) just to "test" the machine and poop - no rr! What's up with this! So after it was all said and done and she tried several scenarios without luck - she ended up doing and "exchange" for the two I had bought at $3 each and giving me four boxes at $1 each - that way I still got the rr. I wasn't able to use my other two coupons because I actually got cash back on the exchange - but I won't complain! LOL - I got 4 boxes for .83 cents! It was crazy and confusing when it first took place, but after sitting and pouring over my receipts in the car for five minutes I figured out what she had done. LOL The cashier was so sweet and very kind and the manager was too! :)

CVS was our second stop. The boys enjoyed browsing the Easter goodie aisle while we were there and picked out a goodie for Daddy. I also picked up a few goodies, but didn't picture any of those for obvious reasons! LOL

I picked up shave gel for Hubby for $3.29 - .55 mc and $2.30 EB = .44 cents! Yeah! I also grabbed Colgate for $1 - .75 mc = .25 cents each! Woo-Hoo! I saved an extra .25 cents using my 25% coupon and also used 2.99 EB so I paid - $2.43 for two toothpaste, two shave gel and 5 easter goodies! Yippee!

Well that was my shopping finds for today...as always be kind to your cashiers, leave an extra coupon on the shelf for the next consumer and Check Those Receipts!

Happy Easter Shopping!

.40 Cents! (Well actually .20!)

A trip to CVS turned out to be the best stop of the day! I stopped in for cereal and fruit cups and stock up I did. Since Red can no longer have yogurt or anything with milk - fruit cups have become my life saver...that and Jello!

CVS had Dole fruit cups on sale 3/$5.00 - I used .50/2 coupons which means I would have picked them up for $1.25.

Cereal was on sale for $1.87 - so I grabbed some fruit loops and apple jacks. I used $1/2 coupons and would have paid $$1.37 a box.

The big catch was I used extra bucks from the past weeks as well as a $4.00 off $20 purchase coupon. The $4.00 coupon I got via email - woo hoo!

After my MC, EB and CVS coupon my grand total was .40 cents! Spectacular!

The funny thing is as I walked out the door I dropped one of my extra reusable bags and when I bent over to grab it I found 2 DIMES! LOL - so I guess you can say my grand total was really .20 cents!

Woo-Hoo!

Walgreens & CVS

Well I ran into town to drop off some stuff at the resale shop, so I thought I would make a stop at Walgreens and CVS while I was in town. It took a little longer than I thought and my phone went crazy on me while I was in town, but I got it done. I had left my Bug home with Daddy - he was running a little fever when I left, so I was not happy when my phone freaked out on me. UGH! I ended up having to take the battery out to get it to work - crazy phone! But anyway I got some shopping out of the way and back home to my Bug - who's fever had gone up a couple of degrees. After a tepid bath and a dose of Tylenol his fever started to come down - thank
goodness - poor guy was feeling pretty poorly.

Okay on to the shopping. I stopped at Walgreens first. I picked up pine sol using my $1/1 coupon for 99 cents. Shave cream for my hubby using a Walgreen's coupon for 99 cents and jello for 20 cents each - another Walgreen's coupon. I got the Kleenex using a walgreen's coupon and a .50 cent/3 coupon - they were 72 cents. I also picked up 3 bags of potting soil for 99 cents each...forgot to get them in the picture.
I picked up Clearasil for 49 cents and got 10 boxes (3 pack) of cream of wheat for free! Woo-Hoo on that find. I used my $1/1 coupons and the 3 pack size is $1 in the store - so FrEe!!!! Another cool find was the little card wallet you can see in front. It's called a card wheel- I found it on the clearance end cap ($1.49) and thought it was really cool. What a great way to store my savings and gift cards! Love it! I also found a bottle of Children's Clariten (with a bonus pack of chewable) on the clearance shelf for $5.49 - used my $3 coupon and paid $2.49 - plus got a $2 Catalina! Yeah!

My next stop was CVS.
I picked up some great things here! There is a deal going on with P&G - spend $25 get $10 extra bucks. Well I stocked up on Puffs and a pack of batteries - which included an awesome set of coupons! Bonus! Used manufacturer's coupons and got $10 extra bucks on that purchase, so basically I paid $11.50 for 20 batteries and 10 boxes of Puffs! I also picked up Crest pro clinical toothpaste - using a $1 off coupon and got $2.50 EB - so FREE! Dentek has a special if you buy 2 you get $2 EB - plus I had $1/1 coupons so they were 99 cents a pack. I grabbed 4 cans of Progresso soup - on sale B1G1F and used a $1/4 coupon = 74 cents can! The Quaker bars were $1.72 - on sale for $2.22 + a $1/2 coupon. The Dove men's deodorant was FREE - used my rain check from last weeks sale and my $2/1 coupons! Woo-Hoo! The M&M's were a good buy at 36 cents each - CVS has a B2G1F sale going on this week, plus I used my B2G1F coupons so that's 2 free! Yeah! I also snagged $5 EB on the neosporin/band aid deal. If you buy both you get $5 EB - I also had 50 cent off coupons so this was a pretty good deal - $4.98 for both. Oh and I forgot to take a pic of the 2L sodas - Coke is offering a $5 EB deal if you buy $15. Well Cokes are on sale for $1 this week so I stocked up on 15 Cokes/Sprites and got $5 EB - that's 67 cents each! :)

Here's the best part - it's always a great deal
to find coupons inside products! Yipee!

Well I believe that's the scoop o' deals for today...until next time - smile a lot, shop wisely & check those receipts!!!

Last Sunday was the most exhausting Wal-Mart trip I have ever had. It was crazy and frustrating! But the deals were great, so later when I thought more about it I figured it worked out okay. I ended up going to two Wal-Marts before the day was out so I could use my ads and coupons before they expired/ended. Our local Wal-Mart gave me such a terrible time about using my coupons I ended up leaving most of my cart behind. The CSM actually told me that I could not complete another transaction on the same day. Funny! I've been banned from Wal-Mart. So the boys and I ended up traveling down the road to another Wal-mart to finish up (after confronting the store manager of the other store). Thank goodness for Nintendo DS - I don't think my boys would have been so agreeable with all the store hopping.
Anyway on to the deals - I matched an ad and picked up Jimmy Deal and Eckrich for $2.18 each - minus a .55 cent coupon on the Eckrich and a $1.50/2 coupon on the Jimmy Dean.

I matched an ad on tomato sauce and picked up 8/$1! The toothpaste, purex 3-n-1 sheets, tide and Kotex U and Secret deodorant were free plus money maker! The whiskas were 26 cents each and the tomato paste was 24 cents. The Bayer low dose was an ad match at $1.99 and a $1 off coupon. Great deal for Lady's aspirin (our dog). I used a $1.50/2 coupon to pick up a couple more medical tapes for the medicine cabinet.
The pasta was my hot deal of the day and the real reason I made the trip to another Wal-mart. I knew I wouldn't
make it before the sale ended on Tuesday and it
was just too hot to pass up! Albertsons had Ronzoni Smart Taste and Ronzoni Healthy Harvest on sale for 2/$1 - great deal except when I was there on Saturday they were sold out. Bummer right - nope - price match! I had a $1/2 coupon - well 50 to be exact, so I got 100 boxes of pasta for FREE! Woo-Hoo!

So that was my Wal-Mart trip...it started at $131 and after coupons I paid $8.16...the cashier's response was "Did your bill just go from $131 to $8.16? :) Love it!

CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart & Target...Whew!

I used my rain checks from last week to pick up 6 bottles of Purex for 99 cents each and 4 boxes of Purex 3-in-1 sheets for 99 cents each! Woo-Hoo!

I ventured down to Walgreens next and picked up some great deals! I was sad to find they were out of baby magic and Motrin - but that is to be expected this late in the week! Kuddos to those who snagged the deals!
My all-time favorite juice - Welch's grape - yum-o! I am generally too cheap to buy it, but with my $1 off coupons and the sale it was a great price! I got the last 2. Walgreens has an in-ad coupon for $1/3 peroxide. This is a great buy b/c we go through a lot of peroxide cleaning toothbrushes. I picked up a bottle of Mazola olive oil for 2.99 with my 50 cent coupon. I wish I had found more of these! :( Good buy! The Colgate was $2.99 - .75 coupon and $3 register rewards! Yippee on that buy! Nivea lip balm is on sale for $2.99 with $2 register rewards, and I had a $2/2 coupon so those were free. Love it!

My next stop was Wal-Mart. I had 20 of those $2/1 dentastix coupons so I decided to use them before they expire and stock up Lady our German Shepherd with treats! I cleaned them out for 98 cents each. I matched a store ad from El Rancho and got tomato sauce 6/$1 and 40 mission tortillas for $2.88 - that is more than $2 off the regular Wal-mart price! Free planters almonds ~ Thank you to Alejandro the Spanish Almond for that deal!!! ;) I also matched an ad for Jimmy Dean sausage - $2.18 each - $1.50/2 = $1.43 a roll - that's better than 1/2 price! My hubby loves to make me breakfast tacos so it's a great thing to keep him stocked! :) Love you babe!

While browsing the clearance racks in the men's dept. I found toboggans for 25 cents! Oh Yeah! I stocked up on 16 of these - I like to include them in soldier boxes, use them for the kids and various other things I come across during the winter months! Not to mention I am a toboggan "wearer" myself! I also picked up t-shirts for the boys at $1 each and a 3 pack of starter t-shirts for my hubby for $3!

My last stop of the day was Target. Since I was "kidless" for the afternoon I decided to do some browsing and deal-hunting! So I lugged my coupons books and my reusable shopping bags in and went on the hunt for the deals! I picked up Target brand household cleaner for 37 cents! Windex was on sale for $2.24, I stacked my $1/1 MC with my $1/2 Target Coupons and got it for 74 cents each. 3 of the bottles had a bonus Shout color catcher attached! W00-Hoo! I love bonus'! I also pickd up wet cat food for 26 cents each - Target had a price drop on this one! I had a $1.50/1 Target Coupon for Jet dry which I stacked with a 40 cent off MC. I also picked up another package of light bulbs for 49 cents (stacked a $1.50 Target coupon with a $1 off MC). I used my 50 cent target coupons on the q-tips - $1.12 for 300! I got Target Tylenol (100) for $2 - used my $1/1 $3 up and up purchase that printed last time I shopped! :) I also picked up another kid's Target Tylenol with a $1 Target coupon. Target has 20 count Motrin PM for $3.99 - I used the $6/2 coupons I had and got them each for 99 cents. Other deals included $1 off ground meat (from the Target mail-out) and storage bags - used a 50 cent off Target coupon on those! I found sports bras on clearance in the women's section! $2.56 for 2! I picked up 2 boxes of emerald 100 calorie packs for $4 - then I used my $1.50/2 coupon for a deal of $1.25 a box! Oh I almost forgot the vitamins! I found a twin pack of vitamin D on clearance for $4.98 - I used a $1/1 MC stacked with a $1/1 Target coupon for a awesome deal of $1.49 each!

While browsing through the stationary section I came across a couple of sweet deals! Crayola has this create your own shadow box kit and it's was on clearance for $3.74. My oldest absolutely LOVES creative artsy type stuff! This is a great find - I am putting it back for a rainy day!

I also found these paint your own magnets on clearance for $1 - another great rainy day project!

And here you will see my own personal favorite Target find!!!! I am a ToTaL list making NUT! I love highlighters! It's a must for my couponing lists as well, so to find a clearance pack for 58 cents is a SO HOT deal!!!

Whew...now I am tired just talking about it. LOL - what fun it is finding the deals and saving the money!!!

Till Next time...

Mom's out shopping while the boys are home!

The trip actually started at Target. Red and I started out at the front with the Dr. Seuss readers. We listened to a couple of stories and got a goodie bag! Yippee! Daddy and Bug showed up and he got a goodie bag too. The boys and I did a little shopping while Daddy ran and errand. That made for an interesting trip since I had A LOT of deals to peg before I left Target! But we made it! Thanks for some $1 off kid's meal coupons at the food court it turned out well!

I scored some good deals like zip top bags - which was awesome because I was completely out!

Other good deals included Finish dishwashing tabs for 25 cents and FREE jeans - 2 pairs for me! Woo-Hoo! 4 cent Dentyne was another find! 99 cent cereal and 49 cent lightbulbs were also on the list. I got some FREE Maalox and even made a little on that one! Yippee!

All in all it was a great haul! I took a bill of $120.12 down to $11.67 with sales and coupons. Not bad, Not bad at all!!! :)

After Target Hubby and the boys headed home...they were done shopping. LOL

I headed over to Walgreens. Walgreens had some good sales this last week. I picked up some
more pringles with my $1 off 2 coupons that were going to expire on the 28th. We love pringles around here so a coupon is never wasted! I also got a good deal on ziplocs with my $1.25 off 2 coupon - I even found a couple of "bonus" boxes! :)

Dove deodorant was my find of the day!
Walgreen's had a coupon in their circular for $1.99 and I had several $2 coupons! Woo-Hoo! FREE deodorant. I shared a several coupons with another lady in the aisle and she was excited about getting a good deal too! We did a little Free deodorant dance right there in the store! ;)

Other good finds were Jello, gum and Axe Deodorant. My Hubby has been wanting some Axe and I keep saying be patient it will go on sale. ;) So with the sale and B1G1F Coupons I paid $1.20 each. I also stocked up on gain dish liquid before my coupons went out. I picked up Cholestoff B1G1F and used $4 coupons for a heck of a deal!

Although the Cholestoff turned out to be quite an ordeal. Apparently when stocked a different type was put in with the regular one we buy and I didn't notice. So Sunday I went back in to exchange it for the correct one. Mind you I had already gotten my "free" one on Saturday. Well when the cashier rang it up he refunded the wrong one but didn't charge me for the right one because Walgreens has the same B1G1F sale this week. Well I had a feeling it was wrong, but staring at the receipt I couldn't figure it out. Well, when I got home and went over this weeks ad I saw the B1G1F ad and thought - that's what it was - the computer automatically gave me a free one since that is the sale. So needless to say I had to go back in on Monday and fix the mistake. I felt terrible that I actually had not paid for either bottle - but the manager was very kind and corrected it. Whew...three days of Cholestoff was enough for me! ;)

But anyway after all the hassle, I saved a grand total of $108.39!!! It was worth it I suppose!

My last stop was CVS - I picked up Colgate and Pepsi's - Saved $$15.78 and got $4 in extra bucks! Not a bad little pick-up there. My hubby was most excited about the Pepsi's! ;)

Well all in all the savings were good and my stockpile grew....so I was a happy shopper!

Until next time...watch your ads...match your coupons and most important check your receipts!

Kroger, Albertsons & CVS...Fun with the family!

Daddy, the boys and I headed out this afternoon to do a little shopping and eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant. It was a fun time of shopping and family fun! Thanks to Daddy and the Bubba's for helping me snag the deals!

Our saving's trip started at Kroger. We decided to make one stop before eating - well that was Daddy's idea anyway. The boys were both starving and not excited about stopping at Kroger, but they were troopers as we made it a game of "find the deal". While Daddy and the boys went in search of Mentos and Pizzas I searched out a few deals I saw online. Unfortunately they were regional and not in our region. I did get Almond milk for Red for $1.12!
Great savings! It was on sale for 3/$5 and I had 55 cent coupons (thanks to all who shared theirs with me)! I also got Chef Boy R Dee for 36 cents a can after sale and coupon! Awesome! Free Mentos gum and 59 cent trident were among the deals! The pizza were my prize at Kroger today - with the sale, $3 off on 10 deal, e-coupons and manufacturers coupons I got them for 46 cents! Woo-Hoo! We love these little pizzas - so easy to pop in for a quick lunch! Total Kroger savings is $46.79 and I got $6 for my next shopping trip!

After Kroger we stopped at Ton's Chinese restaurant...awesome egg drop soup and the egg rolls ~ oh to die for! I do believe that they use "oatmeal cookie spices" in their egg rolls - they are just delightful! Oh my you certainly can't eat just one! We saved here too by sharing one entree and get a few a la cart items and of course water! You can't beat free water!

After dinner we went to Albertson's to rack up some more savings! The boys found an ambulance buggy they wanted to ride in. It was in front of about 15 buggies, but they talked their Daddy into hauling it out. What a sweet Daddy - he did! So I am in the store looking for deals and 10 minutes later after all the buggy rearranging they come in. :) I sent Daddy and the boys in search of a few items - he had his own list and everything! Albertson's was a good haul! We got paper towels for 29 cents a roll and Kleenex TP for $2.49. Salad was 99 cents and eggs were on sale for $1 - I had a 55 cent coupon off 2 - Woo-Hoo! I got Grands Jr. biscuits for 63 cents a can and Campbells double noodle soup for 60 cents! Bug is really excited about that one! I picked up popcorn for 30 cents a box - Awesome!!!! We go through a lot of popcorn around here so I was excited to find this deal! B1G1F with two 50 cent coupons (which double) = a spectacular deal! There is a deal on the back of the box where I can get 2 !!completely!! free reusable grocery bags! Yeah! I am sending in my UPCs next week! I was so excited about my deal finding that I picked up a bottle of white chocolate mocha coffee creamer - on sale with a 55 cent coupon! Yippee! I can't wait to indulge in the morning! Our total Albertsons savings was $50.75!!!!

Our last stop of the evening was CVS which is right across from Albertsons. I was in search of a Theraflu deal, but my local CVS is cheaper than the one in Desoto - so I passed on that one for now. But I did find some deodorant for Hubby! On sale $2.99 and $1.99, combine with a 50 cent coupon and $2 extra bucks = free deodorant! It was strange b/c one rang up at $1.99 even though it was marked $2.99 on the shelf, but I'll take it! Hubby paid for one and I paid for the other so we could get the $2 extra bucks on each. The store has a limit of one per card. While we were standing in line I noticed a display for the Snickers PB squared - I jumped out of line to catch this deal! :) I have been in search of these and can't seem to find them anywhere!
I had a bunch of B1G1F coupons and was disappointed that I wasn't going to get to use them (Exp. 2/20). It was a great deal since they were on sale for 50 cents each. So I got them for 25 cents each and received $4 in extra bucks (on two cards). The deal was buy 4 Mars candy bars and get $1 - limit 2 per card. So we got the deal! These are going in the freezer for treats - the boys were made because I wouldn't let them eat one tonight! LOL - No Way! I know I know...mean old Momma! Total CVS savings was the best - $36.76 plus $8 in extra bucks!

Well this was our deal finding expedition for the day! What fun we had...and money we saved!
