I totally heart the Mart in Midlothian!!!!

Yesterday I did my Wal-Mart shopping and I decided to head over to Midlothian. I had a pretty big list and the boys with me all the same time. I tried to make it good and fun though. We stopped a couple of times on the way to do some fun stuff, and we even ran through McDonald's for a free (woo-hoo!) strawberry lemonade. Yum-o! Bug was very helpful during the trip and helped me push a basket and get things off the shelves. I have to reiterate it was a great trip.

I matched 11 ads and used a ton of coupons. I actually ended up doing three transactions and it went beautifully!

I figured out last night as I went over my receipt that I had come home and put everything away and not taken a single picture, so sorry for the pictureless post.

Okay, here goes: Ad match-ups first!

I matched an ad for bananas and saved $.18 - I got them for $.39 a pound! I also got my hubby some more Fuze drinks with an ad match for $.99 each. Then I used a one dollar off 2 coupon - so my final price was .49 cents each. I matched an ad for Kikkoman soy sauce for a $1.59 then used my $. 55 off coupon so they were a $1.04 each. I matched an ad for butter and saved $.50 on each tub. I picked at some Oscar Mayer ham for $1.78 which saved me $.72 each. I grabbed a head of iceberg lettuce for $.69 (Awesome!) and a head of leaf lettuce or $.88! While we were in the store, they had a sample out of Jalepeno flavored kettle chips, and Bug LOVED them. So I matched an ad for the Lay's brand kettle chips, jalapeno flavor, and saved $.88 on each bag! My hubby was very excited about this purchase. I grabbed a couple of bags of regular Lay's as well using the Super One ad (Thanks Kellie!) and saved $.53 on each bag. I also got the Dan-a-nino yogurts for $.30 off the Wal-Mart price and then used a dollar off coupon so they ended up being $.67 per pack. I picked up four Ocean Spray cranberry juices, the 64 ounce bottle, using an ad match from fiesta for $1.99 and then used a $.50 off coupon. That's just rocks! I snagged 10 boxes of Capri Sun drinks for one dollar each - can't beat that! I grabbed a bag of sugar for $1.68, which saved me $.57 off the Wal-Mart price. I also stocked up on best maid hamburger dills for one dollar each.

Now here is my coupon deals:

I picked up one more Similac to donate to WRC and made $1.16. I picked up another free polygrip for dad and three trial size pert plus shampoos for free plus I made nine cents. I also got three packages of noxema razors for $.67 each. I got two free five count Zyrtec and a free tub of Cottonelle wipes. I also picked up 11 three bar packs of ivory soap, I made $.33 on these. I got 46 packages of carefree panty liners. My hubby decided we needed a whole other house for the feminine products - I laughed and told him at least the only girl in the family wasn't costing him a fortune for my girl stuff! LOL I also picked up seven packages of floss and made$2.34 on these.

Well that's about it, I have to say it's not nearly as exciting without the pictures. Sorry about that, I promise to remember to take pictures for the next post.

Overall my total was $85.23 - and that I found was due to having to get some flea medicine for Lady as well as a flea collar and some foggers for under the house. We also had a couple of other items that I couldn't not buy, so that ran it up as well. I saved $111.69 with coupons, and $39.15 with ad match-ups. I also had overages of $4.02 - so that's great!

Until next time remember check your receipt, be nice to your cashier, and spend the extra gas and drive to Midlothian!

I do NOT Heart the Mart in Waxahachie!

After a wonderful couponing play date with some good friends at the park I thought I would get my wal-mart shopping out of the way. I went to the Waxahachie walmart because I was already in town. Well I regretted my decision later after the rude treatment by the cashier and the CSM. I really don't understand what it is about this walmart, but I am sorry I didn't drive to Midlothian today. It's just sad to be treated so ugly while trying to do your best with what you have. Even though I was able to achieve my savings, I have to wonder if being treated that way is worth it?

I did get to use all my ad match-ups though and in the end scored some good deals. I also used several coupons that were due to expire this weekend. Yeah!

Here you see my FREE Nivea body wash! I also picked up six FREE floss and some Oral-B toothbrushes for .47 (I used the $1.50/1 mc). I also got 3 packs of razors for FREE = .03 overages (used a printable from coupons.com). I grabbed two men's degree deodorant for Hubby, I used the $1/1 mc and paid .78 each. The Reynold's wrap was a steal at $1.75 each! Woo-Hoo! I matched an ad for $2.50 each and used a .75/1 coupon! Woo-Hoo!
Here you see my GREAT deal on Almond Milk - .99 each! Woo-Hoo! I matched an ad for $1.99 and then used $1/1 coupons! I matched an ad for Mazola oil for $1.99 then used a $1/2 coupon so each was $1.49. The Rosarita refried beans are another ad match for .59 each and used a .25/1 coupon, so each was only .34 cents! I matched Kool-aid for 10 cents each then used the Buy 10 Get 5 Free coupons which actually scans at $1.25. So I got 75 Kool-aid mixes for $1.25! That's less than 2 cents each!
I racked up on the produce using ad matching!!! Love it! I grabbed pineapples for $1.50 each - $1.00 the wm price! I also got apples for .99 cents a pound! Broccoli was also .99 cents a pound and pears were .87 cents a pound! I got Hubby some cucumbers three for .88 cents and a had of lettuce for .68!
I grabbed a bag of rice matching an ad for $1.29 and using a coupon for .75 cents off = .54 cents! I also matched an ad for sugar @ $1.68. I used my vocalpoint coupon for a FREE Breve Creamer. The skinner pasta was a great deal at .38 each!
I used a couple of .40/2 coupons for the pizza rolls - so they were .98 each. I also got four Pringles using an ad match for .99. I plan to send off for my Pringles Speaker soon! Woo-Hoo! How exciting! LOL
This is a good find. I was out of packing tape and was looking in the tape section when I found this TRY ME FREE promo! Well Okay! I bought two and will send in for my rebate right away!!! Yeah for Free Tape!

Well that was my trip. Overall it was a good one. I found my stuff and got some good deals. The cashier was less than friendly and she flustered me a few times with her rudeness. I left thinking that my trip didn't add up right. She gave me difficulty about using a few of my coupons. When she printed a journal I figured out she hadn't charged me for two of my Almond Milks. I brought this to her attention and she rang them up and the coupons went right through. Then my vocal point coupon wouldn't scan and the CSM was very rude about it. She ended up manually entering it, but not without making me feel like a cheater. :( It was late and with the nagging feeling my total was incorrect I left Wal-Mart. When I got home I discovered several mistakes. She hadn't credited me for two of my coupons ($2); she charged for 10 extra pastas ($3.80) and my freezer latch rang up for $5 instead of $4. So it looks like I will be going back up to Wal-Mart to straighten out my bill. Sigh...I should have done it before I left but it was getting late and Hubby and the boys were patiently waiting.

Well that's all for now...until next time...check those receipts peeps, and smile and wish you cashier a nice day even when she treats you ugly...wendy

The Great Wal-Mart Round-Up and Walgreens

I am titling this one The Great Wal-Mart Round-Up because that is basically I did at wal-mart! LOL - I had some coupons that were expiring later this week so I thought I would head over to wal-mart while Bug was at RA's and see if I could find the products in stock. Well sure enough I did! And I have to admit that I am warming up to the Waxahachie wal-mart again. I got a very nice cashier named Amanda that was just as sweet and helpful as she could be!

Here is what I got:

1 Similac $3.84 minus a $5 coupon = $1.16 overage (I have been donating these to the WRC in Waxahachie)

4 trial size women's degree deodorant .97 minus $1 coupon = .03 overage or .12 overage total

1 trial size Secret clinical strength deodorant $2.47 minus $3 coupon = .53 overage

1 trial size Head and Shoulders shampoo .97 minus $2 coupon = $1.03 overage

1 Always liner .93 minus $1 coupon = .07 overage

20 Kotex liners $1.24 minus $1 coupon = $4.80 total

6 Nivea women's body wash $3 minus $3 coupon = FREE

6 Nivea men's body wash $3 minus $3 coupon = FREE

1 Reach floss .88 minus $1 coupon = .12 overage (these I donate to the soldier boxes at church)

10 Reach floss .88 minus $2.50/2 coupon = .74 overage each or $3.70 total

2 two packs black expo markers $2 minus $2 coupon = FREE

48 cans great value tomato sauce (ad match) 8/$1 = $6.00

11 jars Ragu pasta sauce (Thanks Angela Perry for the reminder) (ad match) .99 minus .50 coupon = .49 each or $5.39 total

So in the end I paid $8.58 for 111 items. Woo-Hoo! I call it a worthwhile trip!

Last Saturday while in town with my family we stopped at Walgreens. I had three register rewards that expired Sunday and didn't want to lose them! No Way!

So I found Taster's Choice coffee sticks for $2/2 - I had printed 2 B1G1F coupons as well as two .65/1 coupons plus I had another $1/1 coupon that I received via snail mail with a free sample! So I got 7 boxes of coffee and one roll of tape (on sale for .39) for

drumroll please.... .09 cents! Woo-Hoo! I was able to use one of my RR ($3 each) so I got a great deal!

On Sunday I convinced the boys and Daddy to stop at Walgreens after church - my big plan was to get some free body wash and use my other two RR on some other things. Well pooh on that - someone had already cleaned them out by noon! ugh!

But I was able to score some good deals!

I grabbed two toothbrushes on sale for $3 - buy 2 get $4 RR plus I had two .75 off coupons. So I paid .25 for each one! I also picked up three boxes of Nexcare band-aids on sale for $2.99 plus there is a mail in rebate on the boxes and it allows you to get a free box of each kind! Score! I needed two filler items so I could use both of my $3 RR since I had coupons for every item, so I grabbed two bags of .49 cent PB cups. I paid $6.80 and saved $12.63 - not to mention the $11.97 I will receive as a rebate!

Next transaction - I had two more .55/1 Nexcare coupons so I grabbed two more boxes -
Along with my .55 cent off coupons I used the $4 RR I got from the toothbrushes. In order to do this I had to have a filler item to I grabbed another .49 cent PB cups! The order came to $1.37 and I saved $6.60. (Plus I will send in for another rebate.)

Well that was my shopping for this week. It's the end of the pay period so unless we are really out of something or the deal is just that good I try not to shop too much.

Until next time remember CHECK THOSE RECEIPTS, smile at the cashier and pass out coupons to the mondo line behind you!

Wally Redeems Waxahachie Wal-Mart! :)

I went in to volunteer at Wedgeworth today and afterwards I had to pick up my prescription refill. Hubby had dropped it off earlier for me so I thought all I had to do was go in and pick it up. Well that was wrong...after standing in line for 15 minutes I get up there and the girl tells me I have no insurance on file. WHAT? How many times have I filled scripts at Wal-Mart? Really people? UGH! So I am standing there another 15 minutes, waiting for them to enter my insurance info. While standing there I debated back and forth with myself if I even wanted to attempt to shop at this store. If you don't remember this is the store I gave up shopping at because the people were just so rude to me about using coupons. But I decided that it was at least worth checking to see if some of the products were in stock since I have had trouble finding them elsewhere, and we needed milk and I didn't want to make another stop.

I have to say that in the end it was TOTALLY worth it!!!

Here in this picture you see what I paid $3.23 for!

I found Nivea body wash in stock! Finally! ;) Eleven bottles of body wash = FREE! (using $3/1 coupons)

I also got 6 trial size women's degree .97 cents with a $1/1 coupon = .03 overage toward my bill!

I grabbed 7 more flosses for the soldier boxes .88 cents each - using the $1/1 and $2.50/2 coupons they were all FREE plus I got $1.84 toward my bill!

Hubby uses the Nivea face balm - it's $5.54 a bottle but I used two $2/1 coupons so each one was $3.54.

I picked up milk for $2.59 - which is $1 more than I usually pay but that's what I get for forgetting to remind my Hubby to pick milk up at Aldi's.

Oh I forgot to put the formula in the picture (I left it in the car so I can drop it at the food pantry tomorrow.) I grabbed 4 bottles of Similac for $3.84 each and used a $5/1 coupon so I had $1.16 overage on each one! Woo-Hoo!

So after it was all said and done I paid just $3.23 for all of it! Yeah! And the best part was I went to Wally an older gentleman cashier and he was so sweet and just the nicest cashier! Wally redeemed the Wal-Mart for me! Yeah!

Until next time - share a coupon with the ladies behind you (while they wait), be nice to your cashier and check those receipts!!!

Wal-Mart Savings of the Week!

Well I am late getting the deals up for all to see - sorry about that! I don't know what was wrong with me over the past week or so - it seems that I was either fighting a headache or just so tired. Last Saturday we went out as a family to run some errands and get some shopping done. It was a good trip filled with lots of good deals. I am happy to say we are stocked up on some items we use a lot after this last weekend. I am hoping that I don't have to shop much over the next few weeks.

I did several match-ups from the Dallas stores to Wal-mart for the best price.

I picked up Fritos for $1.75 - which saved me .75 per bag off the wm price! I love Frito don't you. I see some Frito pies in the near future!

Eckrich sausage was another good price match - I matched an ad for $1.79 and used a .55/1 coupon - so final price was $1.24 each.

We love to grill these or pan fry them and wrap them in a tortilla - yum-o!

I got a fantabulous deal on Suave Professionals (regularly $1.97 at wm) I matched an ad for .98 and then used a .50/1 coupon and snagged each one for .48 cents! Woo-Hoo!

These are a few freebies I picked up. I used two Cascade coupons (from the P&G brand saver I got in the mail) for $1/any 1 - the 3 pack trial size is .97 cents - so free plus .03 cents overage!

I also got 5 more free degrees for the soldier boxes we will pack this month (.03 cents overage here too) and free floss (plus .12 cents overage).

Free dishwashing soap is ALWAYS a good find - .03 overage for each one is even better! $1.00 - .97 wm price = .03 cents for me!

Ken's dressing is regularly $1.42 for the 8 oz size, I had several $1/1 coupons that were about to expire so I used them up to get us some more Italian dressing. Italian is about all we eat these days since Red can't have Ranch anymore. I found this one that has Asiago and Garlic...I am not sure he will be able to have it, but it sure sounds yummy! (I have learned that if the milk product is very low on the ingredients list it often will not bother him.

I also picked up some Similac to donate to a local women's center - it was free plus I got $1.16 for my basket.

I matched an ad for tomato sauce and got 5/.98 cents.

I also matched an ad and got green beans and corn for .25 cent a can!

I matched an ad for Kool-aid - 10/$1.00 plus with my coupons I got 30 packages for .50 cents!

My hubby loves these drinks and I found an ad for .89 cents - combined with a $1/2 coupon = .39 cents each! Yeah!

Albertson's had bags on for .88 cents this week - a good deal on it's own, but combined with a $1/2 coupon it was an even sweeter deal at .38 cents each! And most of the boxes have a .15 cent coupon stuck to them so yeah - even better!

Sugar was on sale at a few different stores...I matched an ad for imperial for $1.98 - with my .50/1 coupon it was $1.48 - yeah!

Then I got two great value sugars for $1.50 and another for .99 using ad match-ups.

WM changed their policy (again) and now they are honoring the limits printed in the ad - thus the weird match-up.

Okay I think I have it covered for Wal-Mart - it was a good trip. No, I just figured out when looking back over my receipt that I don't have a few items pictured - oh well, I am going to get this posted...now before I must start dinner! LOL Anyway here is the run-down - I saved $81.05 in ad match-ups and $107.40 with coupons! I count is as a good one...thank goodness for Daddy who was willing to shop on a Saturday and help out with the kiddos! Love you babe!
